Abstract:

This thesis explores the potential of using blockchain technology to design a secure voting system for online elections. The increasing digitization of various aspects of society has raised concerns about the security and integrity of online voting systems. By leveraging the decentralized and immutable nature of blockchain technology, we aim to create a voting system that is resilient to tampering and manipulation. This research project outlines the importance of designing a secure voting system, sets objectives for the study, presents hypotheses to be tested, and identifies the limitations of the research. A thorough review of existing literature on online voting systems, blockchain technology, and security measures is conducted to inform the design of the proposed system.
